At dinner with B, T, and the small kid:

B (in reference to a friend): That Josh, he's a good fucking dude...*wide-eyed realization that the small kid is sitting right there, attempts to self-censor*...guy

The small kid:  ...

Me: "Dude" is ok. You can say "dude."
